An amazing couple of days at Sarapiqui with some excellent birding. Next up, Villa Lapas on the Rio Tarcoles near Carara National Park on the west coast.
The river just outside our rooms at Villa Lapas was home to several kingfishers, white ibis, and this
terrific Bare-throated Tiger-Heron. Excellent at hiding in plain sight, this guy even wandered around the grounds without being noticed
by the hotel guests.
