We spent nearly ten days in the Tamashiyacu-Tahuayo area at the Tahuayo
Lodge and then further up river at the La Cia Research Station. A highlight of our visit was the canopy zipline, swinging between tall trees on ropes. Being informed at the top that we'd rappel down was new, and an interesting way to learn just how that's done. Also saw pink dolphins and river otters, not to mention that huge eel, during our visit, but didn't get pictures of that. Fascinating visit to the town of Chino to visit a totally self-sufficent community.
