Originally created to post a few pictures from a visit to Niagara Falls on May 15, 2026, this was later expanded after a trip from May 11 to May 19 on Amtrak to Montreal, Canada to visit friends and returning on United Airlines (with frequent flyer miles). The first pictures are from the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, followed by some from the rest of the trip (a few by me and more by Rebecca). Our trip began on Amtrak's Southwest Chief with a roomette for the overnight trip to Chicago's Union Station. After a long layover, we next had a roomette on the Lake Shore Limited overnight to Buffalo NY. Picked up a rental car to visit Niagara Falls, and the next afternoon caught the Maple Leaf to Albany NY. Arrived too late to get our rental car, but Ubered to our hotel and back the next morning for it. After visiting Albany Pine Bush Preserve in search of a few butterflies, that night we walked to dinner at Ophelia's. After being seated, we were soon to learn it was Goth Night as the place started to fill with some interesting patrons. Off the next day on the Adirondack for Montreal, where we spent the next few days being shown around town by our friends, Al & Jack, who'd moved there from Albuquerque last summer. Wrapped it up with Al taking us to the airport for the long trip home...nice flight to IAD before a crowded and delayed connecting flight to ABQ.
